Welcome:
Kindergarten quite literally means 'children's garden'. Here at Pennington Kindergarten we believe that each child grows within a learning community that respects their need to explore and learn at their own pace.
We aim to encourage children to make choices that reflect their individuality whilst respecting the needs of others.
We aim to provide a safe place for children to learn about themselves, others and the world, and where learning can be fun, exciting, meaningful and engaging. The curriculum respects children's right to play and their right to learn in an inclusive, fair and equitable environment.
We aim to work in partnership with families to support each child's learning and development, and to give each child the best possible start in their learning journey. Here at Pennington Kindergarten we pride ourselves upon our friendly environment. We aim to create a Kindergarten where all children, families and staff feel welcome and included and where there is a general sense of wellbeing.
We support children's transition to school by providing information for families about their child's progress at Kindergarten and a school summary which can be passed onto the child's next teacher.
